Latin America's largest listed Bitcoin treasury just showed how it wants to grow **Bitcoin per share** when the equity trades cheap to the coins on the books. In a [July 20 disclosure](https://x.com/ORANJEBTC/status/2079174714652590162), São Paulo–listed OranjeBTC (B3: [OBTC3](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/OBTC3.SA/); ADR ORNJY) said it privately repurchased **3,926,667** common shares at **R$4.05** each, a deal of about **R$15.9 million** at an implied **0.65×** modified net asset value (mNAV). The company reported that the buyback alone produced a **2.68%** weekly gross BTC yield while the treasury stayed at **3,912 BTC**, unchanged from its [July 13 stack update](https://x.com/ORANJEBTC/status/2076637534654709879).

## From 3,822 to 3,912: the path since June

This is the next chapter after OranjeBTC's [June 22 treasury print of **3,822 BTC**](/en/posts/2026-06-29-brazil-corporate-btc-treasury-oranjebtc-3822/). Company weekly posts map the climb in plain steps: **3,896** after a [74 BTC](https://x.com/ORANJEBTC/status/2071565408591630818) week late June, **3,904** after another [8 BTC](https://x.com/ORANJEBTC/status/2074101044859048177) (partly via BitCopa) into early July, then **3,912** when [July 13](https://x.com/ORANJEBTC/status/2076637534654709879) added **8 BTC** more and restarted small open-market buybacks (**70,000** shares that week).

[BitcoinTreasuries.net](https://bitcointreasuries.net/public-companies/oranjebtc) still shows **3,912 BTC** as of that July 13 disclosure, ranking the firm about **#24** among public companies globally and first among Latin American corporates. The July 20 transaction did **not** add coins; it reduced share count so remaining equity claims a larger slice of the same stack. That is the dual playbook OranjeBTC keeps describing: buy BTC when stacking is the efficient path, buy back stock when the equity is the cheaper way to raise Bitcoin per share.

"BTC yield" here is the company's own metric for how much Bitcoin-per-share grows over a period from treasury buys and/or share reduction. It is **not** a cash interest rate and not a promise of future returns. On July 20 OranjeBTC put year-to-date gross BTC yield at **16.39%** and third-quarter gross yield at **3.15%**, both company-reported figures from the same post.

## Why a buyback at 0.65× mNAV is the story

mNAV compares market value of the equity to the market value of the Bitcoin (and other treasury assets) on the balance sheet. At **0.65×**, the company is saying the market priced a full unit of its equity claim at roughly two-thirds of the spot value of the coins behind it. In that setup, retiring shares can raise Bitcoin per share faster than spending the same cash on more BTC at full spot. OranjeBTC said so explicitly: at certain times, repurchasing its own shares "can be a more efficient way to increase Bitcoin per Share than buying Bitcoin directly."

The July 13 week already mixed the two tools (8 BTC plus 70,000 shares). July 20 was the buyback-heavy week: nearly **4 million** shares, treasury flat at **3,912**. For Brazilian investors, OBTC3 remains a regulated B3 equity wrapper around a pure-play corporate Bitcoin reserve, with Portuguese disclosures and a Bitcoin-per-share scoreboard, separate from U.S. spot ETF primary-market plumbing.

## Spot and ETFs: the tape OranjeBTC is writing against

While the corporate channel posts weekly, the U.S. wrapper channel just printed two red cash sessions. [Farside Investors](https://farside.co.uk/btc/) logged **−$225.1 million** of net outflows from U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on **July 23** and **−$240.1 million** on **July 24** (about **−$465 million** combined), after a seven-day creation run of roughly **$999 million** from July 14 through July 22. IBIT carried most of both redemption prints. Weekend sessions do not create or redeem U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF shares, so the next primary-market line waits for the next U.S. cash day.

Settled Crypto.com 1D closes show the give-back from the week's $66K peak: July 21 **$66,562.29**, July 22 **$66,112.41**, July 23 **$65,099.47**, July 24 **$64,142.01**, then a quieter Saturday settle at **$64,369.98**. As of about **09:31 UTC** on **July 26**, BTC/USDT last near **$64,526** on Crypto.com (intraday; the July 26 candle is still forming). Ethereum last near **$1,883** at the same snapshot after Saturday's settle near **$1,875**. The [Crypto Fear & Greed Index](https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/) reads **26** (Fear), a tick softer than Saturday's **27**.

*BTC price vs the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, July 19–26. Price recovered into the mid-$64Ks while the mood gauge eased to 26 (Fear). The July 26 point is an intraday read as of ~09:31 UTC, not a settled close. Two demand channels, two clocks. ETF creations and redemptions move with global risk appetite on U.S. cash days. A Brazilian public company publishing a private block buyback at 0.65× mNAV is managing capital structure around a multi-year Bitcoin-per-share target. Neither print forecasts the other, and neither is a vote on where Monday settles.

## Takeaway

OranjeBTC's latest chapter is a **share-count** story as much as a **coin-count** story: treasury still **3,912 BTC**, plus a **R$15.9 million** private repurchase of **3,926,667** OBTC3 shares at **R$4.05** (0.65× mNAV) that the firm says produced a **2.68%** weekly gross BTC yield without spending the stack. Spot holds the mid-$64Ks on a quiet Sunday after two U.S. ETF outflow sessions totaling about **−$465 million**, with Fear at **26** and the Federal Reserve's late-July meeting (July 28–29, decision on the 29th) still on the calendar.

This is description of disclosed corporate actions and market prints, not a recommendation to buy or sell OBTC3, Bitcoin, or any ETF. Corporate treasury policies can change, mNAV can re-rate in either direction, and flow data revises.
