Creations accelerated on the second green session. Farside Investors logged +$233.1 million of net inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on July 30, after Wednesday’s light +$32.1 million had only stopped a four-day redemption run. Spot cooperated on the settle: Crypto.com Exchange closed BTC/USDT at $64,775.46, about $792 above Wednesday’s $63,982.99.
A broader book than Wednesday’s split print
Thursday’s product table looked nothing like Wednesday’s tug-of-war. BlackRock’s IBIT created +$183.4 million. Bitwise’s BITB added +$20.7 million. Fidelity’s FBTC created +$15.5 million. Morgan Stanley’s product printed +$7.4 million. Smaller greens came from VanEck (+$2.3 million), a Grayscale mini line (+$2.3 million), and ARK’s ARKB (+$1.5 million). No Farside line printed a material redemption on the day.
That is a different shape from July 29, when IBIT’s +$89.8 million had to clear FBTC (−$43.1 million) and ARKB (−$14.6 million) redemptions to leave a thin +$32.1 million net. Two cash sessions of creations now total about $265 million. That does not erase the prior four-day redemption stretch of roughly −$526 million (July 23–24 about −$465 million, then July 27 −$11.6 million and July 28 −$49.7 million). It does put two consecutive green primary-market days on the board after that washout, and Thursday’s size is in the same league as mid-July creation days rather than a token bounce.
Primary-market flows track creations and redemptions of ETF shares, not every secondary trade. A +$233.1 million day is a clear institutional pulse. It is still well short of the seven-session creation run from July 14 through July 22 that stacked about $999 million before the late-July redemptions hit.
Spot reclaimed mid-$64Ks, then Friday fades
Settled Crypto.com 1D closes map the bounce. Monday finished $63,750.88. Tuesday $63,927.62. Wednesday, with the Fed hold and the first green ETF print, closed $63,982.99. Thursday’s inflow day settled $64,775.46 after a session high near $65,187 and a low near $63,591.
As of about 09:31 UTC on July 31, BTC/USDT last near $63,710 on Crypto.com (intraday; the July 31 candle is still forming and is not a settled close). The session so far has traded a high near $65,411 and a low near $63,685, so the post-settle giveback is real and still open. Ethereum settled Thursday at $1,918.52 after Wednesday’s $1,910.78, and traded near $1,885 at the same Friday snapshot. Those Friday marks keep moving until 00:00 UTC.
The instrument split is plain: the primary market printed a solid creation day while the spot book is giving back part of Thursday’s settle into the U.S. Friday session. Neither print by itself sets next week’s path.
Chart: creations firm, mood slips into Extreme Fear
The series pairs settled daily closes (and Friday’s still-forming candle) with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index. Price climbed into Thursday’s mid-$64K settle, then softens on Friday’s open session. The once-daily mood composite sits at 25 (Extreme Fear), three points softer than Thursday’s 28 (Fear).
BTC price vs the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, July 24–31. The July 31 point is an intraday read as of ~09:31 UTC, not a settled close. Sources: Crypto.com Exchange 1D candles and alternative.me.
That gap is the day’s second story. Creations of +$233.1 million did not lift the composite out of fear territory; the gauge moved the other way into Extreme Fear. Spot and authorized-participant activity can improve while the multi-factor mood read stays heavy. Treat them as separate instruments, not as one signal.
What two green days actually settle
Stack the settled facts without stretching them into a trend call. After four cash reds of about −$526 million, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs printed +$32.1 million on July 29 and +$233.1 million on July 30, with IBIT alone creating +$183.4 million on the bigger day. Spot settled Thursday at $64,775 after a low-$63K base, then traded near $63.7K early Friday. Fear & Greed sits at 25. None of that is a forecast of the next Farside line or of Friday’s settle. Creations can reverse on any cash session, and an intraday mark near $63.7K can finish above or below where it sits now. For now the reading is description only: +$233.1 million of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF inflows on July 30 (IBIT +$183.4 million), second green day, Thursday settle $64,775, Extreme Fear at 25, and Friday’s candle still open. That is not a recommendation to buy or sell bitcoin or any ETF.
