BlackRock’s IBIT did almost the entire Friday job. Farside Investors logged a −$56.2 million net outflow from U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on August 14, and −$55.5 million of that sat in a single column. The cash week that just ended had four red sessions and one thin green day.
Three columns, one large debit
Friday’s sheet is a narrow mix. IBIT redeemed −$55.5 million. Fidelity’s FBTC redeemed −$6.8 million. Bitwise’s BITB created +$6.1 million. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB, Invesco, Franklin, Valkyrie, VanEck, WisdomTree, Morgan Stanley, and both Grayscale lines printed 0.0. Farside’s same-day post matches the table: total −56.2, IBIT −55.5, FBTC −6.8, BITB +6.1.
Thursday had been a nine-column session at −$131.1 million, with ARKB and FBTC carrying the large reds and IBIT only −$5.7 million. Friday flipped that mix. The largest product in the complex did the work, and nine names sat out. Add the two reds and you get $62.3 million of redemptions against BITB’s $6.1 million creation.
Those rows count authorized-participant creations and redemptions of ETF shares, the primary-market pipe, not every stock-exchange print. Across August 10–14 the complex is about $385.2 million net negative: Monday’s −$144.6 million, Tuesday’s +$7.8 million, Wednesday’s −$61.1 million, Thursday’s −$131.1 million, and Friday’s −$56.2 million. From the August 3 reopen through Friday it is still about $480.1 million net positive, because the first week’s $865.3 million of creations is still the larger pile. Lifetime net creations on the Farside table are about $51.9 billion.
BlackRock’s IBIT product page put Friday’s NAV at $35.58, down 0.80% on the day, with net assets near $47.0 billion. That NAV move tracks the coin. It is a different figure from Farside’s creation and redemption line.
Ethereum products printed a blank sheet. Farside’s ETH table shows 0.0 across every name on August 14, after Thursday’s small +$5.9 million creation day.
Friday locked $63,048 after a $1,086 range
Settled Crypto.com 1D closes mark the cash week. Monday August 10 closed $63,974.44. Tuesday $63,592.62. Wednesday $63,488.10. Thursday $63,483.46. Friday settled $63,048.33, about $435 under Thursday, after a session that ran $62,536.37–$63,622.86. The low already sat in the mid-$62,500s that Cointelegraph flagged during the Wall Street open, while U.S. stocks were still firmer. From the prior Friday’s $64,927.10 settle, the week gave back about $1,879.
Saturday’s candle is still forming. BTC/USDT opened the UTC day at Friday’s settle and, as of about 09:36 UTC on August 15, last traded near $62,986 on Crypto.com Exchange, with the open session so far ranging about $62,905–$63,194. That Saturday mark is intraday; the August 15 1D bar does not settle until 00:00 UTC. Ethereum settled Friday at $1,882.21 after Thursday’s $1,886.44, and traded near $1,879 at the same snapshot.
U.S. wrappers do not create or redeem shares on Saturday or Sunday. The next Farside line cannot print until the August 17 cash session.
Chart: a softer Friday settle, Fear still in the 30s
The series pairs settled daily closes (and Saturday’s still-forming candle) with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index. Price stepped down through the week of mixed-to-red product days, Friday locked just above $63,000, and Saturday’s open session is holding that handle while the mood gauge ticks up five points inside Fear.
BTC price vs the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, August 8–15. Friday settled $63,048 after a $1,086 session range; Saturday’s still-open candle is holding near that print. The August 15 point is an intraday read as of ~09:36 UTC, not a settled close. Sources: Crypto.com Exchange 1D candles and alternative.me.
The composite sat at 29 (Fear) on Thursday and Friday, then 34 (still Fear) on Saturday. A five-point lift on a weekend does not rewrite the product table. The cash week already printed.
The week on the board
Four of five cash sessions this week were red. Friday’s new line is a −$56.2 million debit carried almost entirely by IBIT, a settle at $63,048, a Saturday tape parked near that print, and Fear at 34. This week’s $385.2 million of net redemptions leaves August through Friday about $480 million net positive only because the first week’s creations were larger. This describes what printed and where the tape is now. It is not a forecast and not financial advice.
