BlackRock’s IBIT is back on the sheet, and it did Tuesday’s work. Farside Investors printed a +$189.3 million net inflow into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on August 18, and IBIT created $143.6 million of that total. The same morning, Farside filled Monday’s missing IBIT cell at +$160.2 million, which lifts the August 17 row from the $137.3 million we reported while that cell was still a dash to $297.5 million.

IBIT back on the sheet

Walk Tuesday’s columns. IBIT created +$143.6 million. Fidelity’s FBTC created +$23.9 million. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB created +$19.7 million. Bitwise’s BITB created +$16.1 million. Grayscale’s mini BTC created +$2.9 million. VanEck’s HODL redeemed −$16.9 million, the only red print. Invesco, Franklin, Valkyrie, WisdomTree, Morgan Stanley, and GBTC printed 0.0. Farside’s same-day total matches the table: 189.3 net, IBIT 143.6, HODL −16.9. KuCoin’s ChainThink flash reads the same pair.

Add the five green columns and you get $206.2 million of creations against HODL’s $16.9 million redemption. IBIT is about 76 percent of the net print. That is the other side of Monday as we first saw it, when FBTC did $111.9 million of a $137.3 million sheet and IBIT had no published number.

The Monday revision arrived later on Tuesday. Farside’s updated August 17 post puts IBIT at +$160.2 million, FBTC still at +$111.9 million, ARKB at +$14.2 million, MSBT at +$11.2 million, and the row total at $297.5 million. The extra $160.2 million is exactly the IBIT cell that had been a dash. Farside’s row counts authorized-participant creations and redemptions of ETF shares. It is a different tape from every IBIT print on Nasdaq.

Two cash sessions now show $486.8 million of net creations. That more than covers the August 10–14 stretch of $385.2 million in net redemptions. From the August 3 reopen through Tuesday the complex is about $966.9 million net positive: the first week’s $865.3 million of creations, then that $385.2 million out, then these two green rows. Farside’s lifetime total sits near $52.3 billion.

BlackRock’s IBIT product page put Tuesday’s NAV at $36.62, up $0.21 or 0.57 percent, with net assets about $48.4 billion. The NAV tracks the coin’s Tuesday settle. It does not replace Farside’s flow cell.

ETHA’s larger companion print

Ethereum products had a wider Tuesday than the first look at Monday. Farside’s ETH table shows +$71.4 million on August 18. BlackRock’s ETHA created +$64.7 million. Grayscale’s mini ETH created +$2.7 million, ETHE +$1.5 million, Bitwise’s ETHW +$1.4 million, and Invesco’s QETH +$1.1 million. FETH, ETHB, TETH, ETHV, and EZET printed 0.0. Farside’s ETHA post matches the 64.7 cell; the ETH total post matches 71.4.

Monday’s ETH row filled in the same way the bitcoin row did. We had +$5.0 million with both BlackRock ETH columns still dashes. The live table now shows ETHA at +$25.9 million and a +$30.9 million total. Two cash days of ETH products: $102.3 million. ETHA did most of Tuesday, the same way IBIT did on the bitcoin sheet.

Tuesday locked $64,725; Wednesday slips a little

Settled Crypto.com 1D closes mark the two green product days. Monday August 17 settled $64,539.91. Tuesday locked $64,724.81, about $185 above Monday, after a session that ran $64,035.17–$65,061.81. Friday August 14 had been $63,048.33. The coin and the product table moved in the same direction, with a much smaller Tuesday step than Monday’s $1,639 jump off Sunday’s $62,900.42 settle.

Wednesday’s candle is still forming. BTC/USDT opened the UTC day at Tuesday’s settle and, as of about 09:32 UTC on August 19, last traded near $64,388 on Crypto.com Exchange. The open session so far has ranged $64,161.79–$64,742.48. Treat that Wednesday last as intraday. The August 19 1D candle stays open until 00:00 UTC. Ethereum settled Tuesday at $1,917.75 after Monday’s $1,913.71, and traded near $1,921 at the same snapshot.

The series pairs settled daily closes (and Wednesday’s still-forming candle) with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index. Price left the $63,000 weekend, Monday jumped, Tuesday added a smaller step, and Wednesday’s open session has given a few hundred dollars back while the mood gauge is still in Fear.

BTC price vs the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, August 12–19. Tuesday settled $64,725 after Monday’s jump; Wednesday’s still-open candle is a few hundred dollars softer. The August 19 point is an intraday read as of ~09:32 UTC, not a settled close. Sources: Crypto.com Exchange 1D candles and alternative.me.

The composite sat at 31 (Fear) on Monday, 41 on Tuesday, and 46 (still Fear) on Wednesday. Fifteen points in two days, and the gauge has not left Fear.

IBIT’s Monday cell is no longer a dash. Tuesday’s $189.3 million sat mostly in that same product, the coin settled $64,725 on the creation day, and Wednesday has eased a little with Fear at 46. None of that is a recommendation to buy or sell the wrappers or the coin.
