Thursday outran Wednesday. [Farside Investors](https://farside.co.uk/btc/) printed a **+$606.3 million** net inflow into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on **August 20**, and [BlackRock's IBIT created $503.0 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2090677149686480987) of that row. On [Crypto.com Exchange](https://crypto.com/exchange) the 1D candle for Thursday ran **$68,902.60–$73,410.93** and settled **$73,026.02**.

## IBIT did most of the sheet

Walk the columns. IBIT **+$503.0 million**. Fidelity's FBTC **+$64.7 million**, [posted as $64.7 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2090597894365544723). Bitwise's BITB **+$26.4 million**. ARK 21Shares' ARKB **+$12.2 million**. Invesco's BTCO **+$3.6 million**. VanEck's HODL redeemed **−$3.6 million**, the only red print. Franklin, Valkyrie, WisdomTree, Morgan Stanley, GBTC, and the mini BTC printed **0.0**. [Farside's bundled card](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2090677178216186199) matches the live table: **606.3** net, IBIT **503**, HODL **−3.6**. [CoinGlass](https://www.coinglass.com/etf/bitcoin), reading the same session, shows **+$606.30 million** and about **8,750 BTC**.

Add the five green columns and you get **$609.9 million** of creations against HODL's **$3.6 million** redemption. IBIT is **83 percent** of the net. That is a tighter tape than [Wednesday](/en/posts/2026-08-20-etf-inflow-517m-aug-19-ibit/), when the same product did **55 percent** of a **$517.2 million** sheet and eight issuers created. Thursday's mix is one giant BlackRock cell, a Fidelity follow, two smaller greens, and a VanEck redemption that exactly offsets Invesco.

Ethereum products also printed their largest session of the week. [Farside's ETH table](https://farside.co.uk/eth/) shows **+$219.5 million**. [ETHA created $173.3 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2090677080182636764). [ETHB created $35.9 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2090677080618938514). Fidelity's FETH **+$5.8 million**, Bitwise's ETHW **+$2.8 million**, VanEck's ETHV **+$1.7 million**. The other five ETH funds printed **0.0**. The [ETH total card](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2090677104081854650) matches **219.5**. ETHA is **79 percent** of that net, the same concentration pattern as IBIT.

## Four cash days, $1.61 billion

[Monday](/en/posts/2026-08-18-etf-inflow-137m-aug-17-fbtc/) is **+$297.5 million**, revised up from the $137.3 million first print once Farside published IBIT's cell for that session. [Tuesday](/en/posts/2026-08-19-etf-inflow-189m-aug-18-ibit/) is **+$189.3 million**. Wednesday is **+$517.2 million**. Thursday is **+$606.3 million**. Four sessions: **$1,610.3 million**. That covers the [August 10–14 stretch of $385.2 million](/en/posts/2026-08-15-etf-outflow-56m-aug-14-ibit/) in net redemptions more than four times, and it sits on top of the [first week's $865.3 million](/en/posts/2026-08-09-etf-inflow-102m-aug-7-fifth-day/) of creations. From the August 3 reopen through Thursday the complex is about **$2,090.4 million** net positive. Farside's lifetime total is **$53.47 billion**.

Thursday is the largest daily print of August, ahead of Wednesday's **$517.2 million**. Four ETH sessions in the same window add **$508.6 million**.

[BlackRock's IBIT product page](https://www.ishares.com/us/products/333011/ishares-bitcoin-trust-etf) put Thursday's NAV at **$41.09**, up **$2.41** or **6.22 percent**, with net assets about **$54.8 billion**. The Nasdaq close was **$41.20** on **108.2 million** shares, a lighter secondary tape than Wednesday's **140.8 million**. Creations and share volume are different clocks: authorized participants minted a larger IBIT cell on a day when the listed stock actually traded fewer shares. The benchmark on that page, the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate New York Variant, printed **$72,574.42**. That NY cash fix sits under Crypto.com's UTC 1D settle of **$73,026.02**. The coin kept running after the cash close.

## Thursday locked $73K; Friday is still open

Settled 1D closes on Crypto.com mark the two large product days. Wednesday **August 19** locked **$69,337.54** after tagging **$70,074.72**. Thursday opened on that print, tagged **$73,410.93**, and settled **$73,026.02**, about **$3,689** above Wednesday. Ethereum settled Wednesday at **$2,253.00** and Thursday at **$2,326.60**.

Friday's candle is still forming. BTC/USDT opened the UTC day at Thursday's settle and, as of about **09:34 UTC** on **August 21**, last traded near **$77,924** on [Crypto.com Exchange](https://crypto.com/exchange), after a session high of **$79,525.99**. The open session so far has ranged **$73,014.49–$79,525.99**. That Friday last is **intraday**, not a close. The August 21 1D candle stays open until 00:00 UTC. Ethereum traded near **$2,395** at the same snapshot, after a session high of **$2,448.60**.

The series pairs settled daily closes (and Friday's still-forming candle) with the [Crypto Fear & Greed Index](https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/). Price left the $64,000s on Wednesday, Thursday locked the $73,000s, and Friday's open session has pushed into the high $70,000s while the mood gauge moved further into Greed.

*BTC price vs the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, August 14–21. Thursday settled $73,026 after tagging $73,411. Friday's still-open candle is an intraday read as of ~09:34 UTC, not a settled close. Sources: [Crypto.com Exchange](https://crypto.com/exchange) 1D candles and [alternative.me](https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/).*

The composite climbed from **46** (Fear) on Wednesday to **62** on Thursday and **72** on Friday, both Greed. Monday was still **31**.

Thursday's $606.3 million is already in Farside's table. Friday's last on Crypto.com will keep moving until 00:00 UTC. None of the figures above is a reason to buy or sell.
