GBTC redeemed **$50.4 million** on Wednesday, the first outflow cell of this run. [Farside Investors](https://farside.co.uk/btc/) still printed the **August 26** row at **+$232.2 million** net, an eighth cash session in the green, because [Grayscale's 0.15 percent mini created $46.8 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092739851841880253) and [BlackRock's IBIT created $200.8 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092825320902595005).

## One issuer, two wrappers

Five funds created and one redeemed. IBIT **+$200.8 million**. [Fidelity's FBTC created $25.6 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092772448886198689). The Grayscale mini BTC **+$46.8 million**. [Bitwise's BITB created $6.0 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092738978432573786). [Morgan Stanley's MSBT created $3.4 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092738122459000946). [GBTC redeemed $50.4 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092739853481841021). ARK, Invesco, Franklin, Valkyrie, VanEck, and WisdomTree printed **0.0**. [Farside's bundled card](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092825352078758288) matches the live table: **232.2** net, IBIT **200.8**, GBTC **−50.4**, mini **46.8**.

Those five green cells sum to **$282.6 million**. Subtract GBTC and you get **$232.2 million**. IBIT is about **86 percent** of the net. The mini is about **20 percent** of the net on its own, and it covers about **93 percent** of the GBTC redemption. Compare that with [Tuesday](/en/posts/2026-08-26-etf-inflow-314m-aug-25-ibit/), when five funds created, none redeemed, and IBIT did **90 percent** of a **$314.3 million** sheet. Wednesday is smaller in dollars. It is also the first day of the streak with a redemption column.

GBTC still charges **1.50 percent**. The mini charges **0.15 percent**. The two cells landing on the same issuer, in opposite directions, is a share-class rotation on Farside's own fee row, not a read of who is buying bitcoin.

[Sats Intel](https://www.satsintel.io/en/etfs/flows), last updated **04:12 UTC** on August 27, still showed **+$185.4 million** with IBIT **+$200.8 million** and GBTC **−$50.4 million**. Add the missing mini cell and you get **232.2**. This time the restatement was the Grayscale mini.

Ethereum products stayed green and grew. [Farside's ETH table](https://farside.co.uk/eth/) shows **+$192.4 million**, up from Tuesday's **$179.8 million**. [ETHA created $115.7 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092825252917031162). The Grayscale mini ETH [**+$34.7 million**](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092739784003231991). [Fidelity's FETH created $32.0 million](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092772382360662258). BlackRock's ETHB [**+$6.4 million**](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092825255383310426). 21Shares' TETH **+$2.7 million**. Franklin's EZET **+$0.9 million**. The other four ETH funds printed **0.0**. The [ETH total card](https://x.com/FarsideUK/status/2092825276765917442) matches **192.4**. ETHA is about **60 percent** of that net. Combined Bitcoin plus ether on Wednesday is **$424.6 million**.

## Eight cash days, $2.80 billion

[August 17](/en/posts/2026-08-18-etf-inflow-137m-aug-17-fbtc/) is **+$297.5 million**. [August 18](/en/posts/2026-08-19-etf-inflow-189m-aug-18-ibit/) is **+$189.3 million**. [August 19](/en/posts/2026-08-20-etf-inflow-517m-aug-19-ibit/) is **+$517.2 million**. [August 20](/en/posts/2026-08-21-etf-inflow-606m-aug-20-ibit/) is **+$606.3 million**. [August 21](/en/posts/2026-08-24-etf-inflow-307m-aug-21-ibit/) is **+$307.5 million**. [August 24](/en/posts/2026-08-25-etf-inflow-337m-aug-24-80k/) is **+$337.6 million**. August 25 is **+$314.3 million**. August 26 is **+$232.2 million**. Eight sessions: **$2,801.9 million**. IBIT took **$2,024.9 million** of that, about **72 percent**. Fidelity added **$438.7 million**. Wednesday is the streak's second-smallest day, ahead of only August 18.

The eight ETH sessions in the same window add **$1,180.4 million** (30.9 + 71.4 + 186.8 + 219.5 + 184.0 + 115.6 + 179.8 + 192.4). Bitcoin plus ether creations for the eight days land around **$3.98 billion**. Wednesday's combined print is **$424.6 million**, smaller than Tuesday's **$494.1 million**, with ether doing more of the work.

From the August 3 reopen through Wednesday the Bitcoin complex is about **$3.28 billion** net positive across 18 cash sessions, 14 inflows against 4 outflows, with August 20 still the biggest day. Farside's lifetime total is **$54.66 billion**. [FinanceFeeds](https://financefeeds.com/crypto-etfs-add-471-million-on-august-26-as-bitcoin-extends-eight-day-inflow-streak/), reading the same Farside row, matches **$232.2 million** and puts the eight-session Bitcoin total at about **$2.80 billion**.

[BlackRock's IBIT product page](https://www.ishares.com/us/products/333011/ishares-bitcoin-trust-etf) put Wednesday's NAV at **$44.42**, down **$0.30** or **0.68 percent**, with net assets about **$60.52 billion** and **1.36 billion** shares outstanding. The CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate New York Variant on that page printed **$78,441.71**, about **$584** under Crypto.com's UTC 1D settle of **$79,025.30**. The coin kept trading after the listed session ended.

## Wednesday settled $79K; Thursday tagged $80K again

Settled 1D candles on Crypto.com now include Wednesday. Tuesday opened at **$78,988.65**, tagged **$81,271.25**, and settled **$78,524.00**. Wednesday opened at **$78,533.33**, printed a **$77,618.97** low, tagged **$79,248.79**, and settled **$79,025.30**. The UTC close finished above Tuesday's settle. Ethereum settled Wednesday at **$2,506.82** after tagging **$2,515.63**.

Thursday's candle is still forming. BTC/USDT opened the UTC day at **$79,027.13** and, as of about **16:44 UTC** on **August 27**, last traded near **$80,551** on [Crypto.com Exchange](https://crypto.com/exchange), after a session range of **$78,550.45–$80,806.99**. That last is **intraday**, not a close. The August 27 1D candle stays open until 00:00 UTC. Ethereum traded near **$2,532** at the same snapshot.

The Kansas City Fed's [Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium](https://www.kansascityfed.org/research/jackson-hole-economic-symposium/) opened this morning and runs through **August 29** under the theme "Financial Innovation: Implications for Payments and Policy." Kevin Warsh's first Jackson Hole keynote as Fed chair is scheduled for Friday. That is the week's calendar.

The chart below pairs settled daily closes, plus Thursday's still-forming candle, with the [Crypto Fear & Greed Index](https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/). Price left the $69,000s last week, gave back Tuesday's $81,271 tag, locked $79,025 on Wednesday, and has spent Thursday's open hours back through $80,000.

*BTC price vs the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, August 20–27. Wednesday settled $79,025. Thursday's still-open candle is an intraday read as of ~16:44 UTC, not a settled close. Sources: [Crypto.com Exchange](https://crypto.com/exchange) 1D candles and [alternative.me](https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/).*

The composite read **74** (Greed) on Tuesday, eased to **65** on Wednesday, and prints **71** this morning. Still Greed, three points off Tuesday's local high, while the coin spends Thursday's open hours back through $80,000.

Authorized participants already booked Wednesday, redemption included. Thursday's last will keep moving until 00:00 UTC, and Warsh has not spoken yet. This is a snapshot, not advice.
