**BVNK integrated the Stellar blockchain into its stablecoin payments platform on September 22, letting enterprise customers move stablecoins over Stellar through BVNK's existing single API.** The connection is live for all BVNK enterprise customers across more than 130 supported countries, covering cross-border payments, merchant payouts, remittances and treasury disbursements.

For payment teams, the practical change is another settlement route without a separate connection to a new blockchain. That matters in corridors where businesses need to send money across borders, but it does not tell customers which rail will be cheapest for a particular transfer.

## One API, one more settlement network

[BVNK's announcement](https://www.bvnk.com/press/bvnk-expands-multi-chain-stablecoin-infrastructure-with-stellar-integration) describes the company as the layer between an enterprise and several blockchains. A customer keeps using BVNK's platform and API while BVNK handles the network connection underneath. The company says it currently processes about **$39 billion in annualized volume**.

The [Stellar Development Foundation published the same launch details](https://stellar.org/press/bvnk-expands-multi-chain-stablecoin-infrastructure-with-stellar-integration). It says the network handled **$55.6 billion in payment volume in 2025**, with average settlement of about **five seconds**, **99.99% uptime** and average transaction fees below one cent. Those performance figures come from BVNK and Stellar; they are company-reported network averages, not a quote for what a BVNK customer will pay end to end.

The distinction is important. A low blockchain fee is only one component of a cross-border payment. Conversion, compliance, liquidity and the local bank or payout endpoint can add cost and time. BVNK did not publish a corridor-by-corridor price sheet with the integration announcement.

Size is a separate question from speed. [Digital Today](https://www.digitaltoday.co.kr/en/view/107065/bvnk-adds-stellar-to-stablecoin-settlement-network), citing DeFiLlama, reported about **$894 million** in stablecoins held on Stellar. That is the pool sitting on the network, a different measure from annual payment volume, and BVNK did not say how much of its own flow it expects to route through Stellar.

## Built for a multi-chain stack

BVNK calls its approach multi-chain and multi-asset. The company can add more Stellar-native assets later through the same integration, according to its [product post](https://www.bvnk.com/blog/stellar-network-now-live-on-bvnk), without requiring customers to reconnect their systems. The announcement does not name those future assets or give a launch calendar.

Kim Mescal Julien, BVNK's head of partnerships, said businesses should be able to choose the networks and assets that fit a payment without maintaining a separate technical connection to each chain. Denelle Dixon, CEO and executive director of the Stellar Development Foundation, put the emphasis on reliability for institutions moving money across borders and settling stablecoins.

Independent reports from [The Paypers](https://thepaypers.com/crypto-web3-and-cbdc/news/bvnk-integrates-stellar-blockchain-into-stablecoin-payments-platform) and [Digital Today Korea](https://www.digitaltoday.co.kr/en/view/107065/bvnk-adds-stellar-to-stablecoin-settlement-network) also describe the service as live across BVNK's supported footprint. Digital Today placed the launch about seven weeks after Mastercard completed its acquisition of BVNK. [PTYcoin covered that August 3 close](/en/posts/2026-08-04-mastercard-completes-bvnk-acquisition/); the Stellar release is a product expansion under the new owner, rather than a new acquisition.

This is also different from the [U.S. Bank USBDC pilot on Stellar](/en/posts/2026-09-12-us-bank-usbdc-stellar-pilot/). That test moved a bank-issued token between the bank's own entities. BVNK is adding Stellar as infrastructure for enterprise payment flows across its platform. It did not announce a new stablecoin.

## What to watch next

The integration is usable now, but the next disclosures will show its reach: which stablecoins BVNK supports on Stellar, which payout corridors adopt the route, and what total customer pricing and settlement times look like beyond the blockchain layer. No corridor pricing has been published, and the total cost of a payment above the chain fee is untested in public.

For now, the hard news is narrow and operational. BVNK customers have a live Stellar route inside the API they already use, with more native assets possible later. Enterprise customers can test Stellar for merchant payouts, remittances and treasury movement, while the economics of each corridor still have to be measured in production.
