Eligible U.S. customers of OKX can now pay with the OKX Card, a virtual Mastercard backed by stablecoins in OKX Pay, according to [OKX](https://www.okx.com/en-us/learn/okx-card-us). A stablecoin is a token meant to track the U.S. dollar. The card uses three of them: USDC, USDT, and USDG.

## How a purchase is backed

OKX Pay is the digital dollar account inside the OKX app, and the U.S. card is tied to that account. According to [OKX's help page on the card](https://www.okx.com/en-us/help/us-okx-card-what-is-the-okx-card), Pay has to be active, the customer has to hold USDC, USDT, or USDG there, and those coins have to be authorized for the card before they can back a charge. When a purchase is authorized, Pay reserves the stablecoins that charge needs. Those coins are the collateral. They remain in the account and stand behind the purchase while the customer spends.

The Learn post says those coins in Pay are what set the spending limit. The purchase draws on that holding in the account where it already sits. The customer does not have to sell the coins for dollars first, or move them into another balance, before the charge. The same post puts the reach at hundreds of millions of merchants around the world that already take Mastercard, and it says the customer can activate the card from the OKX app.

On the help page, spending is for merchants that take contactless Mastercard. The purchase still has to fit the credit on hand, clear the card's purchase restrictions, and pass its security checks. At launch the card is virtual, so there is no plastic version. It can be placed on Apple Pay or on Google Pay, to tap in a store or to check out online. An ATM withdrawal, a cash advance, and a purchase that stands in for cash are all unavailable.

A charge card asks for the full amount on the statement every billing cycle. A revolving credit card lets unpaid charges roll into the next cycle and adds interest on what is left. The OKX Card is a secured charge card. Interest on it is 0%, and it has no APR, the yearly percentage rate.

The customer may repay manually from a linked dollar balance, or turn on Autopay. Autopay is automatic payment of the card bill. Depending on that choice, the help page says, the customer may keep the coins and pay the bill in dollars.

## How rewards and yield work

A purchase carries no transaction fee and no foreign-exchange fee, according to the [OKX Learn post](https://www.okx.com/en-us/learn/okx-card-us). The help page on the card says the cardholder agreement lists no annual fee, no purchase fee, no fee on a foreign transaction, no late fee, and no fee when a payment is returned.

Cashback runs only on USDG spending, and only while Autopay is on. The rate starts at 2% and can go up to 10% at the top OKX Pay tier. At that top tier, yearly rewards in USDG stop at $18,000, figured on monthly spending of up to $15,000.

The tier is the highest of three readings. Those readings are card spending over 30 days, the average OKX Pay balance over those 30 days, and the customer's OKX VIP tier. The customer receives the rate that belongs to the highest reading. Someone who is already an OKX VIP is placed on the matching tier with no extra request.

Between purchases, USDG in OKX Pay can earn a yield. The APY follows the same tier and can go up to 10%. On amounts above a $10,000 cap, the APY falls back to a 3.5% base.

Holders who qualify can get 50% back on some subscriptions. OKX's examples are OpenAI, Claude, and Netflix. The rebate stops at $20 a month, and the customer does not have to enroll. A referral pays $10 in USDG to each person, the one who refers and the one who joins, after three qualifying transactions.

The help page says holdings of digital assets, stablecoins included, carry high risk and can move sharply in price. The FDIC does not insure them. OKX INC., operating as OKX US, is registered federally as a money service business and is a state-licensed money transmitter. The NMLS ID is 1767779. Not every product is offered in every place, and exclusions and terms apply.

## Who can get the card

Three conditions have to be met, according to [OKX's page on applying](https://www.okx.com/en-us/help/us-okx-card-who-can-apply-for-the-okx-card-and-how-do-i-apply). The identity check on the OKX exchange, called KYC, has to be finished. OKX Pay has to be active. The customer has to clear pre-screening when applying. The exchange account has to be active. It also has to be free of restrictions, and it has to be in good standing.

The card is offered in select U.S. states and territories. The Learn post describes that coverage as most U.S. states, along with select territories. The places left out are New York, Massachusetts, Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The help page on the card says WebBank issues it. WebBank is a bank chartered in Utah, based in Salt Lake City. That page also says OKX provides the Pay wallet.

The application sits in the OKX app. The customer finishes exchange KYC if that is still open, sets up Pay, and starts the card application. Then the customer reads and signs the cardholder agreement and picks Autopay or manual repayment. OKX checks the details and runs an immediate risk check. Typically the virtual card is issued as soon as that check finishes, if the application is approved.

OKX says this way of spending is already offered in other markets, on a platform it describes as serving more than 150 million people worldwide. The Learn post about the U.S. card is dated 2 November 2026. According to [Finextra](https://www.finextra.com/pressarticle/111535/okx-launches-mastercard-stablecoin-card-in-the-us), 44% of OKX Card transactions in Europe are food purchases. That share includes supermarket spending at 26% of card transactions and restaurant spending at 12%.
